About me

I am working fulltime at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories in Pullman, WA. I am working on completing my Master's in Computer Science at the University of Idaho. I maintained a site there for my T.A. work. I regularly read Hacker News, StackOverflow, Lambda the Ultimate and keep an eye on the cutting edge of software technology.

Elemental data

Many years ago my sister was just getting started in her interest in chemistry. For her birthday, I developed a mini web display in PHP that rendered the table of the elements for her, which was clickable for a host of various datapoints regarding the different elements. Of course, there are more sophisticated sites out there that I was unaware of, and now, she is preparing for her GREs in Chemistry and little needs my low-end application.

I rehashed the data in response to a StackOverflow question and generated a JSON of the data. And, without further ado, here are the physical elements - JSON parsable elements.

The original data was pulled from the (evidently now defunct) gPeriodic software source code.
